Re: Fuel Pump Recall announced
- Drove to dealer who did steering wheel air bag recall. Good color match (black) but not the same surface "reflection". It's fine. - Unlike for other owners Volvo Customer Care would not cover fuel pump recall because we are beyond the extended warranty period offered outside the recall ...

Re: Please help! Broken fuel filter connectors
Unfortunately I notice there aren’t a lot of P1 diesel experts on the forum, maybe you’ll get lucky.
I’d consider a call to the local Volvo dealer to get part numbers and prices—can then decide to order through them or acquire the parts elsewhere.

Re: Can't get drivers side axle out.
Tomorrow I’m going to harbor freight to get a chisel and then autozone to get a slide hammer. Is there anything else I should get? If this doesn’t work I’m going to give up. I’m pretty sure the passenger side axle was causing the most of the vibration. I did push and pull on the axle shaft a lot co...

Re: Help! New CV axle....now it won't shift at all
Good on you for giving it a shot. Wheel bearing and CV shaft are both DIY territory. Driver side CV shaft can be tricky with the circlip to get it out and slid/locked back in. My main concern would be having had something fall into the transmission. Can you verify the circlip is still on your old sh...

Re: Oil leak behind timing cover - 2007 XC70 170k miles
I think it is smart to change the cam seals proactively when doing the timing belt in the 200k mile range.
For sure do the water pump too. Kids 02 S60 water pump bearing went last summer at 190k and nearly lost the timing belt.

Re: Temp Axle Boot Mending
Sounds like a good temporary fix. I’ve just swapped in an inexpensive shaft…risk of procrastinating though as it is still there 13,000 miles later.
