Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Is that UHU Hart Plastik any good? Is it a weld type glue? I can't give you long term experience, but the repair piece I glued on the light last night was preeeeeetty solid on there and it was just two little glue blobs (to be able to get it off again). It contains Acetone, so if the plastic can be...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Today I found some time to print the repair clips in ABS and glue them to the lights. As I am satisfied with the fitment, the model is now published on Printables: https://www.printables.com/model/837887-volvo-door-light-repair-clip-9151343-9178328 Repair clip fresh from the print bed: PXL_20240413_...

Re: Alternative source wanted for wiring repair p/n 3523813 wire & 9144275 socket
Just thinking out loud...can those be 3D printed? Shouldn't take long to create a 3D model of it. Not sure about what materials to use though. Yes, you can :) The connectors for the door side lights in my V70 suffered from the same issue, the silicone seal just crumbled away: PXL_20240629_142221379...

Re: V70 seatbelt and seat questions?
When you say "I swapped the drivers side belt with a passenger side belt because it was frayed and I couldn't get any drivers side belts..." do you mean you swapped the fabric belt or the whole assembly? Only the belt. When you unwind the roller, you can access the end of the end of the b...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
The carpet on the drivers side of my V70 had a hole worn through it (I still don't really know how or why, but I bought it like that). Bild_2024-07-07_223744637.png Since carpetry is not really my strength, it took some time to figure out a solution that is in the realm of my capabilities. So first ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Today was a great day. I removed the subframe from my V70 and finally testfit the electric motor with the 3D printed prototypes of the mounting and adapter plates: Bild_2024-07-15_000243525.png Hopefully I'll be buzzing around the streets soon :) (More info on OpenInverter: click ) I will publish th...

Re: P80 front wheel bearing question?
I did not order SKF wheel bearings for my P80 from SKF yet, but the P2 front wheel bearings from SKF include the four mounting bolts and the CV axle bolt.

Re: 3D Printed Tape Player Repair
Do you plan to publish the gear model? It might be useful for other people as well.
I personally like Printables ( https://www.printables.com ) and have published my models there.

Re: P80 front wheel bearing - Questions!
I would recommend not using any anti seize or thread locker if it wasn't called for or already on the bolt due to the changed torque. You should NOT rely on colors of thread lockers, because they can vary between manufacturers. For example Loctite low strength is purple and from other manufacturers ...
