Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
I disagree on the testing method and also on the fact that current battery is not enough and you need to to buy a new one asap. First of all testing with multimeter will not give you true information if wires are able to carry current. You need to test it with 5amp test light. Take old headlight bul...

Re: XC70 3.2 Correct Idle Speed
I would not stress about it. More cylinders-more balanced work of the engine and thus needs lesser idling speed. Older v70 where 5cyl so 800-850 would be a good number. Not surprised to see 650rpm on 6cyl (3.2 6cyl).

Re: 1989 740 cranks but won't fire
I would verify correct instalation of the distributor inside the engine first. Verify correct instalation of distributor rotor in relationship to distributor shaft. Make sure totor is pointing on #1 cylinder spark plug wire with timing marks alighned. If that all checks and you have plenty of fuel a...

Re: Studder/hesitation when accelerating...new MAF?
I think at those miles you are dealing with "aging ". And you are due for investments into this ride. From experience-if one coil failed, the rest are not far behind. MAF is likely all good since no codes and you cleaned it. Start with basics with plugs and coils-this way you will have les...

Re: Fuel pressure maxing out to 111 psi?
111psi? That sounds crazy for regular electric injector system. If you would have direct injection i would say it is too low..but currently I would be questioning fuel pressure sensor. I heard that they are as reliable as water pump on f150. So for $35 I would be replacing that first(might be parts ...

Re: 2007 XC90 Sputtering and won't go above 1600 RPM
Icarsoft will not help you here IMHO. It is a great easy to use tool during maintenance and code read/erase but when it comes to more serious work it is not good. You need to decide what is of priority here. If you need car to be operational asap-call "volvo towing" for free 25miles and br...

Re: 2007 XC90 Sputtering and won't go above 1600 RPM
Please no electronic equipment from ebay or Amazon. Quality sucks and can do you more harm than good. You might think(I put new tmps that were sold as oem and they came in oem looking box and outside they had similar writing, but why car drops them after 4min..)ask me how I know. If your previous se...

Re: Head damage Volvo XC90 2010
I would question myself how much do I like this car and is it a time for an upgrade. If the decision is to keep the car, then how much miles do you have on this engine and how much maintenance it needs. Chances are your engine is 3.2 and there are quite a few of them around for not much money. I am ...
