Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
That Vast tune AWD pump is a great addition to AWD owners. Price is not terrible either. Neil. I would defer to Neil on this one since it looks like he walked this road before. https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=72252. I would just ask boring questions: what is the end goal fo...

Re: Active Xenon Headlight won't bend, V70 Mk3
On xc60 and I think v70, xc70 of 2008-2016 front headlights should be easy to remove. I believe it is just 2 pins that you lift upwards from the engine bay area and headlight is ready to be removed. I doubt that volvo made separate connector for left and right side, so first verify that your problem...

Re: Sudden Hesitation and Stalling 1999 V70R
Use high quality fuel hose rated for fuel injection. Check pressure rating on the side should be at least 5-6bar. Avoid using worm gear style clamps and rather use specific for fuel system. You can always buy proparts unit from fcp or amd from ipd and if failed remove the assembly(you are a pro at t...

Re: Electrical issues questions - P1 C30
Option 1) take the same charger and test it at the other car. If it behaves the same: problem is in within the charger vs normal operating condition based on the charges age/build in protection against reverse polarity/etc Option 2)(IMHO most likely in your case) bad engine ground. If the car behave...

Re: P1332 (Knock Sensor) and P0014 (Cam Timing) – Could This Be ETM Related? [1999 Volvo S70 GLT]
In my mind cause-effect relationship is "never happened prior to the timming belt change" so until you will verify 100% all is done correctly with the timing marks and cvvt loaded correctly all the other factors should other be considered. You need to be 100% sure that basics are done corr...

Re: P1332 (Knock Sensor) and P0014 (Cam Timing) – Could This Be ETM Related? [1999 Volvo S70 GLT]
You dont have to remove the water pump. Please review video link that i sent prior. That guy explains it all in great detail. I would prefer to have camshaft locking tool to do this job correctly. Or at least remove rear cam plugs and verify that cams are in correct horizontal plane as seen in the v...

Re: Rusty Rockers
1. Is there any other rust related damage known to you-subframe, strut areas, badly rusted brake and fuel lines. 2. How much work are you able/willing to invest Into it in case you will decide to do it yourself(can you live without a car for 2 weeks, cost of repair related materials, your labor(time...

Re: alternator choice
Yes. I replaced the unit in a friends V50 T5 AWD manual with a used Volvo one. The one that came out of it was a badly rebuild unit by Bosch. I took it in for repair to a local shop and immediately the owner said it was actually a Denso unit. He was a Denso repair shop by chance so he rebuilt it fo...

Re: 07 C30 T5 can't be read with Vida? - Help!
If you Autel is connecting it tells you that pins 4,5 have decent ground and pin 16 has good power. As far as my novice understanding of car diagnostic goes- car "talks "on pins 6 and 14 which are can-high and can-low. It is possible that dice is more "demanding" to the quality o...

Re: car won't start. - 2009 - S60
Merhaba 1. Check your timming marks and verify they are good. 2. There is some whistling sound when you turning the engine which throws me off a little, but let's ignore it for now. 3. The car was not "staring good" for a long time...please elaborate further after what event it started, or...
