Re: Need some help with my strut

Have you checked: 1) Your engine mounts, particularly the one under the crankshaft 2) Your swaybar end lings will cause that noise 3) Your sub-frame mounts (one of mine had separated from the center portion). This one had me replace the whole front end parts to find 4) Your swaybar mounts have not s...

Re: Need some help with my strut

see if you can play this...it was an MOV file. I converted to MP4 . Are you able to spin it 360? You either have a strong hand or the assembly is missing a washer of sorts so it's floating and can move about freely inside the metal collar. That or the collar has separated from the rubber at the ver...

Re: 1999 S70 idle issue

MAF cleaner will probably work. The issue is to get all the carbon off around the butterfly flap. Long cotton buds should work. Hardest part is getting access to the ETM. On a turbo there is not a lot of access at the front of the engine and you have to access from below the ETM which means you cann...

Re: Spark plugs

Assuming the car listed in your profile is the correct car, a 1999 S70 GLT is an LPT turbo engine. These should be the plugs: https://www.volvocarstorontoparts.ca/p/Volvo_1999_S70-25l-5-cylinder-Turbo/Spark-Plug-Set/42893392/8692071.html I don't recognize the first part number you list, but the 2nd ...

Re: 99 S70 GLT Engine B5254T

As you mentioned the throttle pedal not being responsive during one of the times it was acting up, I'd get a sweep test done of the electronic throttle body if that hasn't already been serviced or replaced with an updated unit.

Re: 99 S70 GLT Engine B5254T

Ok so I have eliminated the fuel pump--- Not necessarily. If you're not monitoring FP while driving, you really haven't ruled it out. It could idle for hours and not skip a beat. It's a PITA, but you need to see what it does when the engine acts up. It was also mentioned to investigate the electron...
