Seems to have been fixed by using better quality contact cleaner for the instrument cluster harness connector, one that removes oxidation and not just contaminants. Hopefully this helps someone.
Finally got more bulbs for my instrument cluster. I'm not sure if this is normal or not but I have quite a few squares that don't turn on even with known good bulbs. Does this look normal?
Had my engine and trans mounts done at a local Volvo specialist. Feels great but unfortunately can't fully enjoy it as now the car doesn't start with the key. Checked the usual suspects but the shop and I are both stumped. I'll be relaxing a little before making a full post.
I would assume my spec is closer to EU than US as I have the glass headlights. Best guess is it is a 1997 production euro spec. Is there a good way to tell? That's an interesting tip. I don't like throwing things away so I think what I'll do is:
Pull the fuel pump assembly since it's basically free, check the strainer and hose (Been wanting to do this to test and clean the float anyway)

Buy a fuel pressure gauge
Re-cap the fuel pump relay
The OEM clamps are the style of the top one, those shouldnt loosen but as you said, it's free so might as well check clamps/hose before spending money.
