I have never seen that style of clamp before, and definitely never on a Volvo. However, it looks like it may work the same way as most pipe clamps. The part facing downwards looks like a hex head. Try turning it with maybe a 7mm socket.

Re: 98 s70. What is this coolant hose clamp and how do I remove it
Looks OEM and high quality. I would reuse that over junk from Lowes. I use oetiker clamps , dual, on those connections.

Re: 98 s70. What is this coolant hose clamp and how do I remove it
I need to get a better look at it but I could have sworn there was no nut. Which doesn’t make much sense with the rest of the clamp. But it looked like what you would turn is one piece. It might just be dirty and needs a little elbow grease. But I’ve never seen this type of clamp elsewhere so it’s ...

Better than average clamp in the photo. It has grooves instead of slots. Slots can tear the hose.

Re: 98 s70. What is this coolant hose clamp and how do I remove it
7mm is a 9/32 Imperial I think ??
Use closed banded clamps on this stuff to protect the hoses. They need to be pretty tight so Torx or hex heads are much beefier than slotted screws

Almost made a mistake swapping dashes (ECC vs MCC)
On the wife's GLT, the dash we had installed 7 years ago was starting to look like it was going through the "blip" and disappearing. I sourced a new dash for it and had forgotten about the fact that the donor I had pulled it from was a MCC car. I had this revelation after I had set the new...

Re: 302mm front brake overhaul/refresh 98 s70
302mm are some of the best improvements you can make to a P80. Your list is just fine as it is, better to stop there and have enough time and money leftover for the rest of the car! You shouldn't need to touch the 4 bolts for the hub unless you are intent on replacing them just to have new ones. Not...

Re: 302mm front brake overhaul/refresh 98 s70
I replied to this yesterday, but again it seems to have disappeared! Caesium has covered what I said. Does your car already have the 302mm brakes? Being a T5 it may. On the assumption it has, I agree with everything except the brake pads. I have used Akebono pads on my P2 and P80 cars with no issues...

Re: Replacing turbo vac line 98 t5
You're going to have to remove the pipe to get good access to the CBV hose on the turbo. You want all of those turbo hoses good and tight anyway, so while you're driving along having a good time, when you hit boost, something doesn't pop off.

Re: Multiple misfires cylinders 1&3 98 s70 t5
I would suggest the next thing to check is have the cylinder compressions checked. This is to eliminate the possibility of burnt valves. If that turns out to be normal then we need to think again. Have you checked the crankcase pressure with the latex glove over the oil filler hole? Have you checked...
