Re: Headlight Wiper Actuator Repair

@rolsen11 this is outstanding. I put it in the Volvo Repair Database and made your account MVS Contributor. Let me know if you want the standard Contributor avatar.

Usual notice: anyone, if yours or someone else's writeup should be in the VRD but is not, let me know.

Re: Retrofitting fog lights

The Grey 104/108 relay does have an extra connector than stock green one. I pulled another J relay, from under dash, but don't know if its different. There is a plug behind the panel next to rear fog light switch, Plugs for fog lights are near front valance. You need special trim like the one I foun...

Re: AC Temp Sensor Problem - 2000 V70 FWD NA

Look down at the clutch and see if it is disengaged when the air gets warm It’s likely your clutch gap is worn and is dropping out after it gets hot. There is a spec on the clutch gap you can measure which a feeler gauge. Volvo pulls off the clutch and shims it Back to spec for about 4 hours of labo...

Re: AC Temp Sensor Problem - 2000 V70 FWD NA

3.5h to be exact. Was just told that by dealer last week. Dealer recommended to save them and myself time and just go with new compressor. I agree with abscate that clutch gap is the first thing that needs to be checked. I think the spec is 0.3-0.5mm 1st-check gap. If it is far away from spec-look a...

Re: Chaosrob 1999 v70R 601 save, Going to need a lot of parts, lot of help and do a lot of reading..

You guys/gals are going to get tired of all of my questions lol. I would like to replace the front and rear brakes, rotors and front soft brake lines. What do you recommend? The brakes currently work but rear brakes are thin and I would rather not risk failure of the soft lines on the road and star...

Re: Generic P80 AC clutch shim , bread clip, zip tie thread

I learned about this fix after having the refrigerant replaced in my 2002 Volvo S60 and the error that the compressor only cycled for a few times remained. The P2 platform unfortunately has very little space to access the compressor and it seems like clutch is made a little bit different. One way or...

Re: 2000 V70 SE - Is there a Cargo cover?

Now that I have returned from vacation, I managed to get hold of my buddy who has the templates. He dropped them off yesterday briefly so I could look at them. I will chase him to get the job done as it should take no more than 10 minutes of access to his car. Once that is done, as soon as Canada Po...

Re: What have you hauled in your Volvo?

It was a tight fit, but I managed to squeeze a whole other wagon in the back of mine.
