Climate unit blower replacement
Problems with the cabin blower seem to be frequent and I am amongst those who had a screeching blower motor. If the blower isn't repaired or replaced it will ultimately take the blower resistor out on a MCC unit or the power stage on an ECC unit. The blower resistors and the power stage units are ne...

Re: ECC Power Stage transistor measurement using a transitor tester
If no one takes you up on the offer, I can ship you a bad unit. It is expensive to ship from Canada, but in the interest of learning I would do it. Hopefully there is someone nearer to you with a bad unit.

Re: DIY: 1998 S70 GLT Trans Cooler Line Rebuild for $10!
UPDATE 4y/40K miles later.
- Zero leaks, Oetiker clamp area looks good.
- @Oitsujosh, my 3/8-inch hose is fine. I don't know about XC model, but for FWD model, the 3/8" line is fine.

Re: Best drill bits for broken stud
I apologize for bump an old topic from the dead, just have a few interesting observations from personal experience, maybe someone will need this information in the future. Depending on the material that you are drilling, HSS is probably your best all-around choice. For plastic, aluminum and light ga...

P80 DIY: Oil Cooler Line Rebuild 3528201 3528207
The oil cooler lines on these cars are known for leaking where the rubber hose is crimped to the metal ends. Mine have been leaking for about 4 years, but it was a slow leak. Today I decided to repair them. The Volvo replacements are a steep $250 for the pair. There are aftermarket brands but the re...
