Re: Busted control arm, needs new CV Half Shaft too… worth the work?
Beck & Arnley is said to have been relabeled over-production of OE parts but the overwhelming consensus now is that they sell an unpredictable hodgepodge of parts from all over the globe. FCP is a good, honorable firm as is eEuroparts as is IPD as is AutohausAZ. Yes, it is a good idea to do asso...

An MVS suggestion: Is there any interest or benefit in establishing a "catalog" of MEMBER PROVEN LED replacement lamps? Make it a sticky, obviously, and include date, brand, product number, lamp location, lamp numbers which they replace and member's username. "Categories" or colu...

Re: Aftermarket lower control arm is shorter?
By "shorter" you mean the original 'reaches out' more?
The mounting points (rear stud and forward cylindrical bushing) are the same, yes?

Re: Parking brake & wheel hub: what to look for?
I employ the "sand where they land" advice for brake rotors and wheels.
Using a wire wheel thoroughly clean where the rotor contacts the hub and where the wheel contacts the rotor.
A lot of stuff flies off.

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today....now sticky!!
Those rear license plate light sockets: Need to be inspected frequently because the socket doesn't seat into the "fixture" securely. Moisture gets in. All bulbs and sockets like dielectric grease. This lowers resistance, heat, warpage thus benefitting the whole system apparently. Of paramo...

A smart thing to do would be to see where metal is beneath the plastic trim so your screws could hit meat.

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T are these good?
You buy a recent, low mileage C70 for your daughter.
The poor kid endures circumstances such that a front corner of the car gets smashed-up.
You show up and fix it.
Would you adopt me please?
