Oil Pressure Sensor '04 XC
I have a small oil leak I believe. I first checked the head and areas above, but I think it's coming from a sensor on the front / left side / radiator side of the block, between the pan and the head. Under the intake. Everything around it is covered in oil. Not enough quantity to drip however. I sea...

Re: Oil Pressure Sensor '04 XC
Ah, FCP has these useful tips.... External oil leaks: It is very common for an oil pressure sensor to leak oil after many years and miles. Sometimes the oil sealing ring is captured on the threads so if an external oil leak occurs the whole switch should be replaced. Internal oil leaks: It’s possibl...

2007 V70 135K harsh, noisy suspension suggestions
Hi Everyone, Like others on this list I've long puzzled about a harsh, noisy ride on normal road imperfections. The car has 135K. After the 5 years/ 50K miles i've owned it I've stumbled on some "fixes" that resulted in a more balanced, supple ride. Apart from the obvious: wheel balancing,...

Re: 2007 V70 135K harsh, noisy suspension suggestions
I used to have P1(98v70xc) and currently have P2 and several P3 in the family. Among 3 of them, P2 front suspension is just "Lego " with proper spring tamer. No evil press in wheel bearings, no rusted iron knuckles, just epiphany of engineering talent. Yes, all suspension components of XC ...

Re: Saying goodbye to an old friend............
Yes I removed the dog grate before selling it, I'll need it on the new one. They seem to be plentiful in the auto wreckers here if you're looking for one, the little hydraulic shocks are pricey to buy, however and they all seem to be worn out.

Re: Engine stops for no reason and then can be restarted without issues
I'll tell you a story about my BMW back in the day. I would sometimes be making a turn, or accelerating from a light and the engine would stumble or even make it to 0 RPM. Now, I'd hit the brake, put it in N or P and restart it. Seemed odd and random. Fought for weeks on the issue. Standing at one p...

Re: 2015 XC70 T6 ;-)
I didn’t have door lock problems with the S80.
But I need you to be more specific.
Will the doors lock and unlock if you press the lock button inside of the car?
And will they unlock from the key fob but not lock?
Good luck
Paul
