If you do just one thing over the holidays...
Go out and buy a toy or two for a kid that is most likely going to have a crappy Christmas. Every year, I take my boys out shopping and have them pick out a kickass toy. Legos are good, since I've never seen a kid that doesn't like them. Any toy that isn't cheap and doesn't need any batteries. Then ...

Re: V50 Climate blower replacement
I have VIDA in a virtual machine and copied these PDF's from it...one is for blower motor and the other is taking part of the dash apart to get to it, etc. This is for an S40 but should be the same for your car. I'm not sure how much of the later you'll need but hope that this info is helpful. Sorr...

IMG_E7219.JPG IMG_7232.JPG Hi! So, this past week I reupholstered my headliner. I'm just writing this post up to add ...

Re: Control arm bushings bad?
Pulled off the drivers side control arm and the rear bushing(one with 2 bolts) was just floating around in the mount. I could turn the mount by hand. Took a long time to get the horizontal bolt on the front bushing lined back up and then after I got it lined back up discovered they gave me the 18mm ...

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
That is loud. Sounds like the 95 850 I helped fix last year. But in it's case, it was actually a bad water pump bearing transmitting the noise to the RH end of the engine. Your car I think still has the hydraulic lifters. Could be at the age of the car one has got dried out. Maybe fill the oil to ma...

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
Stick a scope into the oil fill cap and see how the cams look. They would have taken a beating if the rocker went bad/got stuck. You can also do the oil change and look for glitter in the pan. You have really hardly worked oil mixed with new good synthetic. Change it all and see if it makes any diff...

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
I have ran my 850 out of oil twice due to the cooler line blowing off the radiator on the highway. I couldn't stop for several miles. That was 10+ years ago and she's still running fine. My lifters always sound like that after it's been sitting undriven for more than a week. My xc90 2.5t sounds like...
