Re: XC90 rear differential replacement - questions
Appreciate including the Swedespeed link, lots of good information in there (29 pages worth with additional reference links). For my own edification I went looking in VIDA 2014D for AOC and DEM (Design and Function, 465 final drive, front and rear). I see the pump (on or off with no variability) and...

Re: Chinese Clone DICE + VIDA 2015 (Solved)
On the VIDA subscription site it is said(in red lettering) that Clone DICE will not work. Additionally, you guys need to use the VIDA provided by the Subscription site.

Re: I’ve almost given up, but then I saw this one..
I'll give my typical advice to people (seemingly) new to working on old Volvos: Get the Haynes manual for the 1998-2000 S/V/C70. It has most basic and intermediate procedures and even some advanced ones, torque values, pictures, and more. Mine is hard cover and is written in British English, so some...

Re: P0115 Code and other issues on 2017 XC90 2.0T T6
I installed Denzo 3534 spark plugs and now it runs fine. I still have the idle noise though, can't find anything loose. I guess I let it be, since the car runs fine and throws no error codes.

"I only build the race cars." - Alfieri Maserati (he didn't actually say that) 1926_Alfieri_Maserati.png 400px-1934_Bologna,_Maserati_brothers_outside_officina.jpg I didn't learn 'til much later that the Maserati brothers finally sold the company to the Orsi family in 1937. So all those fa...

Anyone want a free 2000 S70? Must go ASAP. Near Petaluma, California
My old 2000 S70 SE has a blown head gasket but still runs fine and has for a few thousand miles. You need to add coolant every now and then, I just use water. There's a theory that it won't pass smog because of that, but that's unconfirmed. Runs well, has something like 175,000 miles, in pretty good...

Re: MAF code other issues. Related or not? Thoughts before I buy a new MAF sensor.
Thanks for follow up Brad. If I read this right, non OE parts failed where a Volvo part succeeded. Good to know

Re: Timing belt change
I use a zip tie to hold the belt on the sprocket in place while I slip the belt off the other , then move it a notch.
Don’t forget to remove zip tie then turn engine through two crank revolutions and recheck timing marks.
