I guess I’m going to call him “Leo”
Thanks to foggydogg (JC) I’m the proud owner of a 1962, with some 1967 mixed in, split the difference -> 1964.5 4dr 122s Amazon. 😂. I went by his place in DE a few weeks ago, while I happened to be working in the area, and checked it out. It has a lot of character and just a little surface rust. I d...

Re: FCP Euro coupon code for 5% off
FCP has released their best sale so far this year, running 6/26/23 until 7/5/23. 5% off orders of $100+, 10% off orders of $500+. The coupon code is FOURTH. From what I've seen, the only sale better than this will be Black Friday and Cyber Monday so now's the time to get what you need. I'll point ou...

Re: The V60 wagon is a P3 chassis?
Learned a few things reading. I'd rather be after the 2014 facelift, and before the 2019 redesign for budget. If you stay newer than the reports of sludged-up rings, then you get into the 4-cylinder-only years. Very disappointed to find the 5-cyl white block was discontinued for the 2017 model year....

Re: VGLA code - can you obtain it yourself?
-1998 no pin needed 1999- pin and Vida needed, and server connection to Volvo You need cut Volvo systems between Volvo 850 and V70 (since 1997 V70) as V70 did bring new electronics including refreshed COMBI (dashboard/instrument panel), ECC, IMMO and new VGLA Alarm module (and others) so 850 and V7...

Re: New XC90 Owner - Various Questions
Beautiful interior!!! Definitely upgrade to the H8 larger battery. The hold-down has two slots so you can use the larger one. Many of us use an AGM H8 battery with good results. The door panels/cards can be a pain to remove. The handle cover is the hardest part to do without cracking any of the plas...

Unfortunate new Volvo owner! (98 V70 AWD)
Hello everyone, through a series of unfortunate circumstances, I am a new owner of a 200k+ mile '98 V70. Seems it was thoroughly (mechanically) abused before I got it, so I'm picking away at it. No rust or major body damage though! As bought: Power steering pump about to come apart, rotten tires and...

Re: Airbox thermostat failure...
Thanks to all for this thread. Modified it to cold air only on daughters daily driver 850 GLT non-turbo. Drilled pilot hole in case and threaded screw in to hold hot flap closed. Note: just read mileage from ECU and its at 300,250. Goal was to reach 300K. Everything is gravy from here on!
