Re: no rear wheel drive on 2007 XC70
The haldex/AOC is filled with something most like motor oil. It is not as thick and does not have the distinct stench of rear axle lube. It is not red like ATF and is not as thin as ATF. It is a mid-weight oil with specific additives to modify it for a wet clutch use. The fluid is available from any...

Re: 1800 generator needed
Are you looking for originality or functionality. I'm sure you can find a good used one relatively cheap on ebay. Another option would be to convert it to an internally regulated alternator. It's a pretty common upgrade and easily returned to stock original generator if needed. It's pretty inexpensi...

V70 S70 Squeaky Dash - Another DIY
I bought a 1998 V70 in which the left side of the dash was maddeningly squeaky. I read several posts about repairing the ...

Re: Signs of a failing ETM and its relation to the MAF sensor
My 2001 v70xc is turbo charged and suffers from what your article describes as advanced stages of etm/maf failure. There are no codes (that i know of), we recently bought this car and a recent road trip had us intermittently lurching and knocking off the cruise control until we stopped/restarted the...

Colorado drive shaft has supplied me with 4 driveshafts over the years. Good quality product. Take a look for corrosion on the crossmember piece that supports the carrier bearing.

Re: Soak injectors in Seafoam: good idea or disaster?
I just read this old thread, because I had a spare set of injectors soaking in Sea Foam for about 2 months now. Make sure to remove any rubber seal ring from the injector before soaking them. I put the injectors back in the car today and it sure runs smoother and have some extra power. Too early to ...
