Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad

FCP is offering “clearance” prices on some Volvo stuff in the latest email received this am. I’m thinking of taking advantage of of few. The Nissens evaporator for $66. They also have the Rein for $100. (Not a clearance price). Any preferences in the group, past experiences with either one? I will g...

Re: Parts brands - OE Volvo, trusted aftermarket, and bad

From my own experience I have not bought many parts recently, what I did was fine so far. do88.se stuff is good, very happy with the induction hoses. I u...

Faroe Islands

I went to the Faroe Islands, for a couple of hours, in my mind. Wayyyy out there - north of Scotland, West of Norway. But... it rarely freezes except in the hills, and it doesn't get hot. And there's a modern capital city with ancient buildings, modern buildings, narrow lanes, harbours and boats. It...

Re: 2016 XC60 - screw for coolant reservoir?

They actually had me order these two parts, which are now installed. I had the flange screw in my cart then talked to them and for some reason they had me change.

My 2010 V50 (and I assume the rest of the C30, C70, S40... so-called "P1" cars) has an "Alarm System Service Required" message on the DIM, and VIDA reported "CEM-DD1B - Communication with SCM control module Signal missing" (SCM = Siren Control Module) But SURPRISE! The ...

Re: V70R 2.3 awd more power?

Here you can get 430 hp to that 1998 Volvo v70r 2.3 awd without any changes, because it is the most powerful of the model series to which other Volvos of the same type are compared. An addition to the previous one -I also made a gap interpreter in the block of the mod. -How does narrowing the plasti...

Re: Does this DICE/VIDA laptop setup on EBAY look Good in 2024?

UPDATE! Unit arrived yesterday and after charging the laptop I went out to Yeti and plugged er in. Unit scanned perfectly and gave me all my vehicle info and ran a diagnostic. Hurrah it works!!! Found the fault in my SRS. Pretty sure it has to do with me swapping the seats out from my donor car, but...
