Loved this writeup was very helpful! here are some extra tips i had that i struggled with for others. Re: A $100 '99 V70 GLT
Well I figured it out. What threw me was that the fitment guide calls for 2 of each front camshaft seals, but in reality you use a different seal on the exhaust than the intake. So one of each is needed. So 3 different part numbers for the 4 cam seals. And yes; that banjo bolt for the PCV is beyond ...

Re: Dimensions of Cam Seal Drift Tools (9995718 9995719)
Many moons later I finally had enough motivation to dig out the valve cover of the scrap B5254FS I have laying around aaaaaaaaaand the cam shafts are not the same as the scrap cam shafts of the B5244T3 which are also laying around (but those probably have the same dimensions as the B5244S2 I have in...

This is the seal on the bottom shaft of the steering box. IMG_8199.jpg New bronze input shaft/pilot bushing. I boiled it in oil like taught i...

Re: 98 V70 I Fenix - OBD ECM readout with LED not working
After I have corrected the polarity the reader works fine.
I have put together some footage below and again thank you all for supportive input.
I am reading the result like this: I - I - I = no DTC stored
Am I correct?

Re: Non-Volvo car chat megathread
The carburetors will have to go in the kitchen with Gramma's fine china. Not my work - this is in Chicago, being rebuilt / repaired / restored by a wizard named Gordon Raymond. I had inaccessible clogged passages in the bottom (drill out the lead plugs), and a broken alum/magnesium float pivot suppo...

Re: Burnt Relay Pins
Well turns out there was an issue with the tailgate left harness wiring. Looks like one of the previous shops attempted to repair a couple broken wires and did a subpar job. I cut and re-soldered them, reset the DTC, and now the faulty signal condition hasn't come back. Usually it would come back ri...
