Re: 850 Petrol part on fuel line
Although not listed, I think it is called a fuel pulse regulator. I can only think it is a device to steady fuel flow pressure. I have attached the fuel line it is part of, however, in this case for North America, it lists it is only fitted with the fuel pulse regulator on certain chassis number ra...

Re: 2004 XC70: Next steps for turbocharger leak diagnosed by Volvo dealer
Thanks. I have not seen any blue smoke coming out of the tailpipe and nothing feels abnormal. I asked the tech (through the service advisor) how long they thought I could just "live with it" and they said at least a few months, but also cautioned they didn't think I should ignore the leak...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
I still have this great car after 8 years, 290000km today. Found last summer a set of Oreander wheels and the very scarce "Side Scuff Plate". i did re-sprayed the whole set. Finally had the time to mount the side scuff plate, great looking! https://images2.imgbox.com/5a/3c/9XhNwcep_o.jpg?d...

Re: Start and stall after injector service. 97 855t
Got it running again and figured I’d post the resolution. Luckily it was not hydrolocked. I did check the spray pattern by pulling the rail and rotating the injectors under and out. Definitely learned the hard way about the fuel rail’s quick disconnect. Gas went everywhere. Used a woodworking clamp ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Today I moved him to a roomier garage where I have room to work. I want to do timing belt, serp belt, drain the old fuel, new fuel filter, etc.
I flushed the brake fluid, changed oil and filter, flushed the coolant, new plugs.

Re: P0455 - Should I fix it?
This issue has vexed me for years in my 2001 Volvo S60 2.4T but I kept diagnosing it out of stubbornness. The OBD2 scanner kept coming up with P0455 code even after I fixed the J-hose, got a new evap canister, tightened all exhaust system hose connections and of course got a new fuel cap. The warnin...

Re: 05-07 xc90 DIY Repair Costs vs non-bastard P80
Motor is straight forward, if you know the transverse I4/I5/I6 cylinder then it's pretty easy to maintain with PCV service and oil trap and timing belt as the required maintenance items. Water pump and alternator here and there but my '05 ran great on the day I sold it in 2021 with 200+k miles. XC90...
