Re: Chaosrob 1999 v70R 601 save, Going to need a lot of parts, lot of help and do a lot of reading..
Another busy week, all I got done was the bumper/headlight/wiper/undertray. Feels really good to finally have the front back on it though, looks like real progress. https://i.imgur.com/F5RTxcv.jpg https://i.imgur.com/oiNuwUT.jpg https://i.imgur.com/rCCkKY6.jpg https://i.imgur.com/AK3GIHc.jpg https:/...

Re: Inner front axle CV boot question - 98 V70 T5
It's not exactly what you're asking but for all automatic transmission P80 cars I go by the OP info from MVSer northernlights in the first post of this thread, it has never done me wrong: https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?p=332235 There are two kinds of outer CV boot, NA and tur...

Re: Blend door actuator S80 -99 2,9
Solution: looked at the correct motor (left side) and hooked up the arm that had fallen off and now it works.

Airbox cover screws stripped-simple fix
My 2007 S80 air filter housing cover was loose. At least one screw that holds the cover down was stripped. I think I tried to fix this before with a drizzle of epoxy into the screw hole. Anyway I tried this quick fix that seems to be working well so far. Holding a 1 1/4 inch deck screw with a pair o...

Re: Restoring volvo badges
I clear coated the badges last night, used 2k clear and I painted it on with a brush in order to get a thick layer of it. It smoothed out real nice, no brush marks at all.

Re: VS M4.4 tuning dead? Start again here?
Well, there is no "Boost" map in the bin, and there is no direct control to target boost. You are looking for the Target Load Setpoint and the TCV Duty Cycle Pilot Control maps. Here are those maps in my T5 tune with a 16T. https://turbochuckcom.ipage.com/webimages/projects/97%20Volvo%2085...

Re: DIY: Some thoughts about rebuilding engine mounts for FREE (ONLY top and torque mounts)
Update... - The ghetto method (inserting vacuum hose to occupy empty space) works great for #4 and #5. As mentioned above, #4 and #5 do not support the weight of the engine. They act like shock absorber and their design is flimpsy. They break after 20K-40K miles. - Just replaced Right engine mounnt ...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Gave it a wash and now I don't want to drive it and make it instantly dirty again. https://i.imgur.com/MA0C1ZZh.jpeg Near the right rear fender is the last bit of rust too that'll need welding, but I'm gonna just convert the rust and put some paint over it and do that next summer. Think the car coul...

Re: Angle gear collar sleeve and seal replacement Pictorial, 2003 XC70 automatic.
I'm going to close my question with the final results. Thanks to Blacklab467 for a clue into the plausible cause and fix. Gear Box Sleeve seal area. My 2013 XC70 actually had two issues and i had to work these with for a total of 3 disassembles and reassemblies. The second time i removed the Bevel G...
