Re: Headlights, yet again...WITH PICTURES 98 V70 99 S70

I've used cougar h7 lows and they direct plug and ballasts fit nicely with covers on. 6 months so far. Well worth 45 dollars. I was able to salvage my reflectors with an extremely gentle microfiber wipe off. Got lucky there.

Re: XC90 snorkel for offroading

I'm taking my XC70 to Alaska this summer, put in new suspension all around to get her as high as possible and installed some big 245/65/17 tires that lift her another inch. Would be cool to get a snorkel in case of any deep-ish water crossings I might come across for some peace of mind, I know the r...

Re: How rare is it? 2001 V70 T5M

P2 stick shift should are a dream, I still can’t believe how nicely my 2005 hums on the highway. They got the gearing perfect with a tall third gear and of course a top gear and axle combo that returns 30-32 mpg on the highway.

Re: Turbo swap?

Slow down there a bit partner. :-) Take your 2003 and first get it to stage 0 - all refreshed ignition, then maybe get it breathing better with some air intake enhancements. Check your waste gate adjust, make sure the CBV diaphragm and spring are up to snuff before you start on sleeves and compressi...

Re: How rare is it? 2001 V70 T5M

My 2001 V70T5m "had" cloth seats, no heated seats or headlight wipers. It was silver with a cargo rack and the 16" Metis wheels. Sunroof and the variable rear view mirror and the message panel that told the mpg. I forget what radio was in it, but would guess it had a cd player. The cl...

Re: Fix a Volvo flip/switchblade key - DIY, pics and advice

Did another key swap last night, same old issue with glue delamination on the case halves. I used the donor in the bottom middle photo (above) for the replacement. That little screw is holding everything together extremely well, so much so that I'm going to try just putting clear silicone in the cas...
