Re: S80 2001 Auto Dimming Rearview Mirror Repair How To (long)
Thanks for the excellent instructions. I learned a couple of extra things in doing this, maybe they will be of help to other users. 1) This worked for a 2002 V70 with sunroof 2) I had planned to short-cut and save time on the disassembly (esp. the double sticky tape) by having my local Volvo dealer ...

2017 V70 Polstar 17K miles on my dealers lot
These have to be rare? It's a 2017 V60 Polstar at Osteen Volvo of Jacksonville. Car looks new in person! Thought I'd post this in case someone wants a Polstar that is unmolested. June

Re: XC60 T5 Fuel Pressure Sensor
The fuel pressure sensor is at the driver's end of cylinder head on a steel line. The line and sensor should be replaced as they updated the sensor and it takes a new fuel line for it to fit.. There may be an extended warranty on it or covered by 8 yr/80K mile emissions warranty.

Re: 2001 V70, low-ish miles, owner says it needs a new cat. Am I nuts to consider?
I recently acquired a 2001 v70 t5 back in March with 100k miles. The price was right.. $0. Didnt need the car since I have another and got it because the previous owner knew I had Volvo's before. So i took it on more a project car / car to haul stuff. The car had a major issue with the trans... that...

DO88.se Intercooler Pipe kit on S80
As you might have seen, the DO88.se turbo pressure pipes kit is not compatible with the S80. Even so, I bought it as it is a worthwhile upgrade over the plastic pipes. It needed some modification, but nothing too serious. Today I finalised the built. Result: pulls a tad harder + a little bit more tu...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)
Changed the passenger side engine mount on the '01 S60... the old one was pretty shot! I had to jack up the engine quite a bit to even get to the bottom bolt. I also picked up a 26 gallon Kobalt air compressor today... I love it! It powers my Earthquake XT stubby impact no problem, worked great to r...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today? (now Sticky)
The 850 got a little shoe polish treatment yesterday. The trim was badly faded and I always wanted to try this out.
We shall see how long this lasts. But it's super easy to apply and takes only minutes to do the bumpers.

Re: Car won't start, worked yesterday. 2000 V70 manual
I just solved what sounds like the exact same problem on my 2000 V70XC Turbo, and the culprit was a bad/dirty connection AT the starter solenoid - the thin wire that supplies 12v to the terminal when you turn the key. I tried the other things mentioned above, including the remote starter terminal, b...

Re: V8 Balance Shaft
Interestingly enough, someone on Swedespeed did a scope on his engine and in my saying it was not possible, I learned that indeed it is. Perfect chance to use the cheap $40 semi-rigid wifi scope that I bought on a whim. 20190901122456.jpg 20190901122541.jpg It's important to note that I thought the ...
