Re: Help with powering S60 seat -- Not in a Car
Finally got around to finishing the seat. I ended up removing the slider mechanism and ordering a shorter cylinder for the office chair base to lower the seat height a bit. Then I used some 1 inch ply and some L brackets to mount it to where the slider had been attached. I had to trim down the metal...

Re: Help with radio code SC-901
To follow up on this: Volvo USA was able to get me the code. Although the tool on the website did not work and gave an error, probably due to the VIN being from a Euro car, after I contacted customer care with the above images they got back to me with the code in under 6 hours on a Sunday. Amazing! ...

Re: 2011 XC60 P0420 Code
I ordered a new sensor for less than $100. It was fun removing the old one, heating it up with a propane torch did the trick. After installing the new sensor I disconnected the battery for 10 minutes to clear the code and so far so the engine light has remained off.

1999 C70 to 1999 S70 front seat skin swap. Imperfect but ok 8/10
TLDR - if you want the factory look a C70 to S70 seat skin swap does not work. Its ok, but not perfect I recently scored some nice C70 seats and swapped skins onto Evita the 1999 S70 The seat bottoms fit perfectly. The seat backs are different - there are several differences in positions and bolster...

B8444S (V8) serp belt tools
Some of you may know me from this site or Swedespeed, I post the same user name. I recently acquired a second V8 XC90 that had 135k miles and I did a refresh of sorts to include the auxiliary belt with tensioner and idlers. There’s also a part in a thread about my snapping off the tensioner bracket ...

Re: Is my TRACS-system broken?
As mentioned, you should at least be able to hear it.
On my ‘98, it’s pretty noticeable. Kind of a cross
between a giant rogue hard drive and a very
excited squirrel that got ahold of some meth.
Also worth mentioning that it only engages
at under 25 mph.

Re: Volve S80 2008 - code 163
I have V70 P3 MY 2010. I can confirm that releasing the trip reset after three flashes resets the service overdue notification!
If I keep the trip reset pressed for longer I also get the 163 code and no success in resetting the SRL. Thanks!
