Re: 98 V70R fuel pump!

I'd rather cut away sheetmetal than deal with the rear subframe. Tending to agree  haven't yet looked at the (2nd) Abscates process, the issue hasn't arisen again (yet), car doesn't get driven a lot so can likely employ the "bang on that thang" process for a time yet if it does pop u...

Re: BaT Megathread

One of the rarest of the US orphan models, this '56 Mark II is one of fewer than 3,000 built. 1956_continental-mark-ii.jpg https://bringatrailer.com/listing/1956-lincoln-continental-mark-ii-2/ Continental was a stand-alone marque, just like Edsel, and seemed to stem from the same fever dream of a co...

Re: BaT Megathread

'64 PV, Dealer listing - which I normally tend to ignore, but this seems to be a genuine estate sale.

Re: Volvo Findings! (What have you found on Craigslist?)

'84 245, 3 pedals, 170k claimed. One of the stranger ads recently. Long list of spare parts. FL style rust. 1984 245 M.jpg Pretty big ask for the condition. https://washingtondc.craigslist.org/mld/cto/d/silver-spring-1984-volvo-240-wagon/7770009889.html DC C/L, but the car is in Miami. There is a st...

Re: Does this DICE/VIDA laptop setup on EBAY look Good in 2024?

Thanks Neil ! It seems to be well reviewed on Ebay - for what that's worth. I decided to try it. I recently relocated for work and lost my great mechanic, so I am hoping to be able to do more troubleshooting and repairs on my own. It's coming from the UK and I am in LA - so it will be a while befor...

Seeing three racers killed within a few hours of each other was pretty hard to take. I was a fan, although there was only occasional TV coverage back then. I haven't been able to watch another hydroplane race since.

The engine oil cooler delete plate is available from Mother Volvo, 1366780. https://www.volvopartswebstore.com/products/volvo/Cap-Lubricating-System-Without-TURBO-Engine-131034-Without-TURBO-Engine-131035/1110079/1366780.html Also can obviously be sourced from a salvage yard, time permitting.
