200 MPH LS swapped 245 Swedish Poster Boy
I mentioned this car before, still a brain-numbing thought that a Brick could get into the 6's in a 1/4 mile run. Re: Remanufactured steering racks...
Avoid Cardone - anything, not just their racks.
Abscate was working on finding a shop to rebuild his rack, although a chance meeting with a Tesla may have derailed the process.
I think one of his fleet ended up with a Detroit rebuilt unit.

Re: Let's play Name That Car
Yes, early Saab. The photo I posted said 1946, but that's so soon after WWII that I don't believe it... at least for a production car. Good work spotting it as a Saab you two. This article seems to say actual production began in '49. https://www.nytimes.com/2009/11/15/automobiles/collectibles/15saa...

Re: AC compressor and evap
Robert just did it on his 850T5R
But...fair warning, it didn't fix it, it needed a dryer.
Plus one with Dr. Abscate - and Robert - if it gets another dryer, that's a bench job.
( Robert has almost as many P80s as I do, but my yard is bigger.)

Re: Seeking swarm knowledge as I do my M56 swap 97 855 R
OK, got the ABS pump off the car. Needed to undo all the brake lines. There are 3 10mm bolts holding the bracket onto the wheel well. 2 Are pretty accessible, the 3rd not so much. For the 2 on the top of the bracket you don't need to remove the bolts as the bracket will slide forward as the holes a...

Re: Looking at a 1998 V70 XC, advice wanted.
Thanks for the advice, between browsing on here and a Facebook group post that was 95% "that car isn't worth that much and would cost more in the long run ", so I'm not going to pursue this one. Here's the link if anyone wants to check it out! https://www.eclectic-garage.com/inventory/vol...

Re: Multiple misfires cylinders 1&3 98 s70 t5
Multiple cylinder misfire can be caused by a vacuum leak, so check the Usual Suspects.
