Re: High beams not working.
Now with daylight savings, I am driving my 2002 v70xc in the dark more often. When I turn on the high beams, the indication light comes on, I hear a relay click, but the high beam lights do not come on. This has happened before, but intermittently. If I turned the high beams on and off a bunch of t...

Re: 2004 XC70 problems with instrument cluster and headlights after air bag recall
i wouldn't rule anything out, go back over all the plugs the dealer disturbed whilst doing the work. Looks like airbag replacement is incredibly simple. The only plug involved being the direct connection through the steering wheel to the rear of the airbag itself: https://www.pelicanparts.com/techa...

Re: Can't get drivers side axle out.
The locking ring should hold it in place, but yes it is suppose to look like the old one. If you couldn't yank off the axle then it should be good. It might be that they got lazy with the proper dimensions. Ok so you cheapened out on the axle. I did as well, and it lasted me under 2 years. I unders...

Re: Accessing hose clamps for turbo vacuum hoses
I'm trying to replace the vacuum hoses connected to the turbo, but find it difficult to access the hose clamps at the turbo's end: Is there any tricks to get to those? Special tools, access from below, or just try to work it with some pliers from above? For the small spring clamps in tough to reach...

Re: Electrical issues
Hello all, so..... My lights are on, but the light indicator, fog lights, and gas unlock switches, nothing works. I am unable to use my high beams, if I pull on the information stick (?), the high beams come on, but won't say on when I let go of it. The LED screen inside my speedometer as well as t...

Re: 2004 xc70 transmission issue
Hello, our xc70 is having a transmission issue. The other day when shifted into drive or reverse it wasn't engaging, was in neutral. Let the car sit for a while. (It was a very hot day) Once the car cooled down. Shifts normally. Checked the transmission fluid and it was very dark. We performed a fl...

Re: Brakes problem, lots of parts changed
So maybe I have to go to the dealer of find a mechanic with a volvo scanner Its so strange cause If I brake twice fast, the first brake is as I described in the post, but in the second brake the pedal has a lot more of "pressure" and it almost feels like there is no problem in the brakes....

Re: 2007 XC-70 front brake job pad too tight?
Dear Matthews, I did a front rotor and pad job on my 2007 Volvo XC-70 yesterday and I ran into an issue I have never experienced in prior brake jobs on this car. I was using Akebono pads. Passenger side went fine. But the driver's side outside brake pad would not fit in the caliper. It was very clo...

Re: 2009 S60 transmission issues
You have to remove the transmission and separate the bell housing from the rest of the transmission. It is internal to the transmission and not easily serviceable. But I am very puzzled why the Park is not engaging. Yes, Park not engaging is a mechanical link from the shift lever cable to the parki...
