Re: Are V/S/C70 DIM units all the same?
It would be great to get his view on this. Thanks for doing that Rick! He is here and he works off information so give him what he ask for. Might as well publish the VIN number here. It is public information anyway. Anybody can get it by looking at your dashboard. I does not contain any personal in...

Re: Re: Tailgate struts for V70
I can't comment on any of the two brands, bit since this is not a safery relevant nor really hard to replace part going cheap might work. but then, why do it twice if you can get a known quality part for a few bucks more only ... So I'd personally go with Stabilus

Re: Re: Tailgate struts for V70
I just got Stabilus for my 2000 V70. Now when opening the trunk, I have to quickly move out of the way so it doesn't uppercut my jaw! I spent the extra money to have long lasting parts so I don't have to remove the plastic again any time soon. I ruined the plastic piece around the trunk ceiling ligh...

In fact not looking forward to doing it all! Actually swapping the struts is easy. Removing all the plastic to get to...

Re: Are V/S/C70 DIM units all the same?
I think we can transfer data from your original CDM to used CDM. You can send us PCBs only, but you have to mark each to exclude confusing. Also, if you have soldering experience, you can do it yourself, just transfer couple chips from your original pcb to used one.

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Oh. I do hate that car. It is possessed! But then I am just too stubborn to be beat. I have a list of tasks for the winter. Most of the issues that are outstanding are age related. Stuff like the dash breaking in new and wonderful ways is the sort of thing that drives me mad. Main dash mounts faili...

Re: 2000 V70 manual intermittent starting
The 1999 and 2000 p80s have clutch interlocked cranking through the ECU
If the clutch switch is giving up, they will cause inhibited cranking. You can confirm by using the starter relay bypass connector under the hood
