Re: New starter installed but making odd sounds
you shouldnt have to adjust it, i swapped my starter and noticed i could pull the gear out easily by hand (worn throw out spring) compared to the used replacement which was very difficult.

There is no ball bearing/slug or anything that can come loose and destroy your engine. It has 01-02 stamped on the head. I believe Volvo fitted defective bolts t...

if you are talking about the "City lights" (Dim Amber light) its the white wire, if you mean the side "turn lights" (flashing amber) its the green/grey wire, black is ground. NOTE: not sure what MOT rules are in UK but here in Australia the turn light must flash "Amber off &...

Re: Help? Tips for replacing/reinserting the timing belt cover
Yes its annoying, it needs to sit behind the tensioner pulley (thats the trick) . Reach down with your hand and press the cover against the engine and the tab will go behind the pulley. I have broken the tabs on an old cover because i got angry with it and forced it down. Once you get it you will fi...
