Re: P2 2001 V70 T5 Sudden Massive Electrical Failure
The most important thing when fault finding is to use a test lamp connected to the fuses rather than a visual check. Also a volt meter offers no load to the circuit so avoid this and ONLY use a test light. Once you work out which circuits are dead you can work through the electrical diagrams to isol...

Re: AW55-50SN woes-easy to repair?
You may feel the filter being pushed up and out of the filter housing as I did. Once this happened a ton of fluid gushed out of the hole I drilled.

Re: Small Transmission Service Project
Yeah that sounds like a pressure issue. You solved that on the S70 in the same way. Best of luck Kallekula!

Re: P2 2001 V70 T5 Sudden Massive Electrical Failure
Usually no. Canbus is a protocol not a physical item you can touch. There are many test points to use. This year I repaired an XC90 2007 with suspected Canbus issue. Door locks, climate control and another circuit I can't remember were down however were down permanently unlike yours. It ended up bei...

Re: The EASY way to line up Crank marks for Timing Belt
The locating pin position has been moved from a central location between the two 10mm bolts to slightly right of that centre in later models.
Not sure when the break was however some time after 2002 is my guess. The crank sprocket on the right is from a 2004 XC70

Re: AW55-50SN woes-easy to repair?
Hasn't missed a beat transmission wise. Has 235K on the clock now (that's kilometres). I've replaced O2 sensor, MAF & front brakes done as finally I feel I can invest without calling for a tow home. viewtopic.php?f=35&t=83245

Re: HQ Volvo VIDA DICE
They're all "bootleg" unless you purchase from a dealer at more than $1,000USD PLUS subscription costs to Vida. The software is usually OEM until you run a patch file (at 2:44 in the seller's video) that circumvents the license and allows just diagnostic functions (no software downloads). ...

Re: XC90 V8 Intermittent fuel pressure cutout
Do these V8s run a Bosch ECM? Though rare they do fail and cause similar (intermittent) faults
With enough time on your hands this may end up being a diagnosis going straight back to the ECM.
