Re: Recalibrate Door windows and moonroof travel.
The windows and sunroof have manual calibrations also. Windows: located fuse for driver's door module (DDM) or passenger's door module PDM) as applicable. While window is moving via auto up or auto down function remove the fuse for that door module. The position memory is active when moving and can ...

Re: Knee bolster under glove box - 99 S70
The law changed and it was no longer fitted. 98 was the last year. If you have the RH storage shelf below the glove box you never had a corrugated bolster. You want to wear your belt and not have the bolster act to stop your knees and keep you positioned for airbag.

Re: 1998 Volvo V70 XC Bevel Gear
Or you replace the existing RH trans seal where collar inserts with the seal for FWD car and a RH front axle. The OD of the trans where seal fits is the same AWD or FWD. The ID is either for angle gear sleeve or on FWD it is a smaller ID for axle. AWD RH axle is not finished for seal in the right pl...

Re: 2001 V70XC - front drive axle broke off at T
The retaining circlip gets off to one side and it will not get into the beveled area of axle gear so it will compress and let axle slide out. The way I have pulled many out is to pry but not with excessive force. I would say the axle will come out with 20 pounds force applied on an 18 long pry bar w...

Re: 2001 S60 Can't find low pressure port for A/C
There are two service ports on a P2. The low pressure one is immediately in front of timing belt cover on the line that runs along the frame rail. The one up on front top plate is the high side that you do not need. The DIY charge kits will fit the port in front of engine but you need one with a foo...

Re: 2008 V70 150K mile scheduled service
Way overpriced. The belt change does take some time, 3 1/2 hours range, due to having to remove power steering pump and a/c compressor. plus the alignment pin, water pump drive hub, and belt The car has an electric parking brake so no adjustment is needed. Brake fluid flush should be no more than 1 ...

Re: 2000 V70 XC - how do you know if awd is working correctl
For viscous coupling AWD in 97-2000 models you jack up one rear wheel with trans in Park and then apply a torque wrench on a wheel bolt on the raised wheel and apply force. The wheel should move smoothly at more than 60 lb-ft and not more than 90 lb-ft. If it doesn't move then the VC has dried up an...
