Re: Under pass side of dash- CC fan noise
Something got into the fan. It comes out of the front of the blower housing directly in front of glove box. The under dash panel, knee bolster ribbed metal tube, and the glove box are removed to get to the screws. There are videos and instructions if you search. I found this complete one: https://ww...

Re: 850R flywheel and clutch don't fit?
That will not hurt. The disc will polish that area with use. Are the dowels and clutch cover bolt holes all in correct places?

Re: 960 PS Tube Shuddering . . .
Volvo addressed that with Pentosin CHF 11S synthetic power steering fluid. There were weights put on the cooler loop forward of the LF wheel that also dampened the noise and the hydraulic surge that makes the cooler loop an lines rattle. The fluid was the most successful thing they did.

Re: Ford Flex - engineering can be traced back to Volvo P2
That was a popular thing to do. The Daimler ownership of Chrysler led to some old Mercedes E class blueprints being used to make some currently produced FCA products as well as the Chrysler Crossfire being a warmed over one generation older SLK of that time. Re: P80 Cylinder head cover 1161059 1161058 - anaerobic Sealant, Sealers, primer and install temperature
I had this as an issue once and I put two 150 heat bulbs shining on head and threw a furniture pad/quilt over the hood to form a tent (use a prop for hood as support cylinders will go down) and let it sit overnight and started the engine the next morning. That car has never had a leak or seepage.

Re: One way clutch or pulley?
There is confusion on the belt service interval. Volvo caused it due to the same exact parts on different emissions versions of the same engine family using differing schedules. The belt is often OK but the idler or tensioner rollers may be reaching its end before 150K. There are only two one way cl...

Re: 2015.5 V60 Starter and water pump failure
The water pump is electric but it is uses a LIN controlled processor and has battery connected (unswitched) + and - connections. If anything killed the water pump it could have been low battery V from bad starter causing much higher current switching though the electronically commutated motor circui...

Re: 1995 Volvo 850 GLT long crank
The fact it starts instantly pushed puts it squarely in the dirty trans and bell housing face or faulty starter territory. Starter current draw has been ruled out. The barely adequate suppression fails when magnetic flux goes up or the suppression goes down. When the key is released and starter curr...
