Re: 92' Volvo 240 GL Sedan, auto, for sale

Those door pockets always had a hard life. I don't think I have any good ones. But the doors look presentable without the pockets. What is really nice about this car is it has been protected from sun fade. $6300 for a car with good looks, nice ride, good seats, up to date service, and expected life ...

Re: 92' Volvo 240 GL Sedan, auto, for sale

Yep, we kicked our door pockets off at some point too. I have a friend here with almost the identical car, 4-door, in white, but his is a manual. Bought it new in CT. But NOWHERE NEAR the condition of this one. Just a thought - isn't this a BaT-caliber car? I know it takes a while to get through the...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?

Is this recycling in the best sense of the term? Safe travels to the young ones!

Re: 850 Sedan trunk seal NLA, other options?

You could try to use a generic self adhesive seal (used for insulating crappy windows) as a second seal. Try sticking it onto the lid right where the original seal would meet the lid. Not sure if it works, but it could work. Theoretically...

Re: 850 Sedan trunk seal NLA, other options?

Will do. As it does not get as hot up here typically, and it is dry, seals don't get too bad. I'll keep an eye out.

Re: 850 Sedan trunk seal NLA, other options?

. This is for the rear hatch of the 2002 V70 XC. Found some water in the spare tire area so adjusted the entire rear hatch. The rear had been hit prior to my ownership. The adjustment made a huge difference in the alignment of the hatch but still saw a little bit water though no longer in the spare ...

Re: 850 Sedan trunk seal NLA, other options?

I have used that round foam to 'puff-up' flattened seals before too. I think I say it on Wheeler Dealers on a 2 door coupe of some sort which was known for air and water leaks around the top rear corner of the door seal. If you get one of the door seals that are hollow, you can use this where you ca...
