Re: 2000 V70R electrical issue continues

Looks like 101/102 is a Cruise Control module in some versions.

Re: 2000 V70R electrical issue continues

With the advent of electronic throttle body, the cruise control system is just a couple of inputs into the ECM from the light stalk switch. The ECU completely controls the speed via the EtB, no relays at all,

Re: 1995 855 Steering Column Squeaking

There are 2 areas I have found in addition to the one you have already lubed. One is the plastic cover around the steering column at the top can rub on the steering shaft if it is not positioned correctly. 2nd one is the bearing down at the base of the steering column at the floor. You can repack th...

Re: Rebuilding and painting my calipers

Chasing the caliper threads is a good plan. If you can not locate the proper tap, use an old fitting and cutting a couple notches with a hacksaw the length of the thread. This will work OK to clean up dirty, rusty threads. Do not make the cut deeper than the thread depth as this will let the fitting...

Re: Is the 850 becoming a classic?

What Matt says is true. It's sometimes about value, but mostly about nostalgia. When did wooden spoke antiques hit their collector market peak? It was based on the age of the people who longed for them and could afford to restore them. Now we see that sort of hot rod "57 Chevy" class of ca...

Re: 2000 V70R electrical issue continues

Welcome to SEATAC! With the opportunity of a long layover, I dug a little further into just one part of this little gem - The Turn Arrows. You could be seeing the result of a ground that they share being poor or open. It looks like they share a ground on the 31/50 ground bus on the interior bus pane...

Re: Is the 850 becoming a classic?

Who would've thought at the time that small-block Malibus and Fairlanes and Dusters would ever be valuable? They were the cars you didn't REALLY want, but fell into because you couldn't afford the big-block. I can see the basic 850 being valuable as an example of the Golden Age of Automobiles that w...

P80 Volvo 3D Parts Library Build

Hello all, Ive decided to start a build thread focused on making 3d printed parts for our Volvos. I'm placing this thread in the P80 forum since most of my designs for the foreseeable future will be focused on my 850. I do have an XC90 but shes in mint condition and will not likely need any 3d print...

Re: 2000 V70R electrical issue continues

Cancel that ETM voltage test. The ETM gets all of its wiring direct from the ECu. Here is the main BuS feed to from the ignition switch. Get an analogue JP meter on the fuse 11B/1 and watch it carefully while you power up, start the far , then turn the light switch on. 11B/1 us in the kidney fuse bo...
