Re: MCC - stuck blend door?

Hi all, I'm a proud new owner of a 1999 V70 and also a new member. :D This is my first Volvo. I've been reading a lot of guides but have not come across any mentions of stuck doors in the manual hvac system. The previous owner had removed the leg-face-windscreen door motor because it stopped turnin...

Re: Windshield side trim

Oh yes. The trim began speaking to me at highway speeds. I have an attractive length of packing tape holding my molding in place. The inboard (black "rubber") edge of these moldings is dry and crumbling. I'm resigned to living with that. Will these clips just pop into place? I'd expect th...

Re: 2001 V70XC - struggles to idle when coming to stop light

Replaced the ambient air hose to the air box, MAF, intake hose between MAF and turbo, and the TCV. Checked the hoses and pipes for routing. It starts and runs like a champ. Acceleration is stable, but taking foot off the gas pedal has light jerk - NOT when taking pressure off the gas pedal. It burps...

Re: 850 Tie rod Tie rod end

Our 1997 N/A steering rack, inner and outer tie rod were marked Volvo/TRW. All were replaced with TRW, relatively expensive than aftermarket.

Re: 2001 volvo v70 crank no start

thank you xheart I looked and don't see hose issue but my problem seems to be no voltage at fuse 7 at all also no voltage at a bunch of the fuses in that line. I am considering weather this is just a problem with the fuse block because even with ignition on there is no power in most of the fuses on...

Re: sheared subframe bolt, looks like a helicoil...

No need to drop the subframe.

Reposition the subframe back over the nipple, screw on the good side (place a jack to support SB), then drill it out through the bushing - bolt hole.

New LEFT HANDED drill bit may be best for this task.

Re: sheared subframe bolt '96 850

it's a 100mm bolt from the end to the washer face. About 1/2 of that is in the car. Good to hear that those lefty bits may just drag that thing outta there. How is it that it can free up in spite of all the heavy torque that snapped it in the first place? Not doubting, just trying to learn. Me, I'm...

Re: Should I sell my 2007 XC90 for $2,600?

I know, right? I am sickened to think that my car would only sell for $2,600. I do not want to sound rude but if I was selling a 2001 Honda CRV with 398,000 miles and listed it for $11,000 someone would buy it in a minute. Or there might even be a huge bidding war over it. But god forbid unless you...

Re: sheared subframe bolt '96 850

I remain grateful for your help. I'm concerned about staying true with the bolt for the whole 50mm I will need to drill. I'm also wondering about the effectiveness of using left hand bits for the whole process. Will they drill as well as regular bits? Another question is the material I'm drilling i...
