Re: 2013A XC90 - Brake Line, Hose, Caliper and Rotor Service

Try Home Depot too or order from Amazon. I’ve bought a set from Amazon before to ensure it had all the metric hex sizes. The fluid will gravity drip since the brake reservoir is at a higher level. You have to cover/plug the line or work quickly. If you do buy new calipers, paint them. The zinc coati...

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?

Last week (before the storm) I installed some shade! Made a real difference in temp in our courtyard, the whole NE corner is in shade. Kinda fun! I was going to figure out all the math to making the curves and the cable tension and all that, but here was this thing available for a bit over $100 - wh...

Re: Proud of my kid today

Way to go with your "kid". Must be good parenting since they don't come with a manual and you cant connect them to VIDA DICE to figure it out.. It ain't easy. Great job to both parents and kid!

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?

Will you provide more details for your system and why you chose what you did? I want to add solar panels in the future. volvolugnut Nothing elaborate, really. It's a grid-tied system that I installed myself. We had some funds set aside, so I bought what we could afford at the time. I bought a "...

Re: 2020 V60CC - 36K Tune up

Here you go, this has fluids... but stubbornly doesn't address for instance auto transmission fluid replacement . It only, moronically, says "Automatic transmission fluid level, check/adjust". We all remember the P2 fiasco with "lifetime" fluid. Maintenance_Volvo_Wty_Manual_2020....

Re: 06' V70 Front End Damage Repair

It took almost exactly 2 months, but Greta is finally rolling again on her own. I took her for a 8 mile test drive last night and besides the expected "coolant low" message, there were no surprises. Not really knowing how strong the impact on the engine was, I was a little nervous about so...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?

The 2nd fuel tank door hinge repair failed in a month. Is anyone out there who has used rivets to fasten hinge to the body? . I used fasteners. If your door pops open leave it alone unlike the zip tie and shrink wrap I tried to improve it with. Everything still working fine however. (EDIT) Keep in ...

Re: What non automotive projects and repairs are you doing?

We had a thermocouple living next door for a while. Glad they moved.
