Re: P442 (Evap Leak)
I don’t know anything about the evap leak, but I own this $115 iCarSoft i906 code reader: https://www.amazon.com/iCarsoft-i906-Compatible-Diagnostic-Multi-System/dp/B00S8KJHBM/ It works ok. If I had known about the V2 version I think I would have bought it instead, for only another $30 https://www.a...

VIDA on a USB stick, use with any laptop with 8MB memory.$100 mongoose JRL cable interface (same as DICE unit) $100. Just configure the laptop to boot up from the USB drive if its plugged in at start up. WIN 10 is installed on the USB drive and the laptop boots up from that system. VIDA doesn't just...

The two on the right have hydraulic fluid in them. They are referred to as the front and rear lower engine mounts.

Re: 2002 V70 (Engine Mount(s) with fluid)?
MDK, are those "acorns" easy to replace or to access on my own? Not too difficult, fairly easy if you’ve done it before…FCP Euro also has a video… https://youtu.be/UA7qjGjg8Yc Might as well change the other mounts while at it. Need a 15mm swivel socket for the top nut on the front mount a...

Re: 2002 V70 (Engine Mount(s) with fluid)?
Quick reference note Sometimes these mounts are referred to the engine in which case it’s the front engine mount under the serpentine belt , and the hydraulic mounts are left and right. The other two are called upper and lower torque rods. Volvo references then to the engine in the web store. If the...

Re: '02 V70 (Power Steering Return Line Ftg End)
It’s a thread fitting with an ring angle seal. It is not a flare fitting, common mistake.
It can be very hard to break the steel thread out of the cast power steering rack thread

Re: '02 V70 (Power Steering Return Line Ftg End)
The reservoir itself leaking is common too. You might want to upgrade to the 2005+ version which has an improved design. There is enough slack, but if the hose is Ok it might just be the hose clamp needs replacing or tightening.

Re: 2002 V70 (Timing belt replacement)
Hi Guys; Just a quick question on what you may have done in the past when you had to replace your timing belt. My P2 has 178k miles on her and is due for the Volvo recommended (every 10 yr.) timing belt replacement. I planned to replace the idler and the tensioner but does everyone also feel the ne...

Re: 2002 V70 (Timing belt replacement)
Change the water pump too. Its the most common cause of timing belt failure. Buy an Aisin pump. DO NOT buy Hepu.
