Re: Drilled & Slotted Rotors on a P2?

I had slotted rear rotors on my T5 and they were the worst POS I ever bought. Harsh and vibration on every hard stop.

I threw them out with about half their life left, and for an Honorary Scot, you know how painful that was.

Re: ATF flush question

* Most people use a Magnefine or another brand of Magnetic Oil Filter. Do not cut any metal tubing. Example of installations. Be sure the inner diameter of the filter is the same as the inner diameter of the transhose. A little clear silicone grease will help to insert the filter while slightly enla...

Re: ATF change out

I did it from the top using a technique called the "Gibbons method". It was very accessible from the top. Google it.

Re: Timing Belt replacement

if in doubt, change the belt. Ive also changed belts after major seal oil leaks, probably over careful but i dont want to risk it. Also stick with the Volvo branded kit, the pulley and idler is made by Ina so you can save money buying from them but no one knows who makes the belt.

Re: ATF change out

vtl, after removing the ATF plug is there a aluminum crush washer that needs replacement or can I re-use the old one? Yes, a regular washer. Flip it over, can reuse one more time, then replace. I've got a few dozens of these: https://www.fcpeuro.com/products/volvo-drain-plug-washer-850-c70-s40-s60-...
