Re: Volvo XC90 clicking sound when braking

There's the potential for a click of axle spline (ping) on initial application and release of the CV joints, then there's a driveline single click on release and re-engagement of power at near stop (sometimes hear it sometimes don't, I have this issue and for me it seems specific to the V8) as a few...

Re: Volvo XC90 clicking sound when braking

Rather than edit the old post, I had thought to add some notes- I noticed my click sound maybe the day after I bought my car (summer 2015), bothered me enough that towards the end of my 90 day warranty (bought at a dealer) I took the car in specifically to have it documented and addressed. What I go...

Barring a valve body issue which may or may not also be a concern, can see this link for a more common reason this message comes up- specific to the V8- http://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread ... -Triangle)

Re: Am I screwed

Not sure if this is helpful, I've successfully used these folks for a DIM swap in a 2003 S80 and they do this stuff for a living.

Were I in your spot, I might give them a call and see what other options you might have- https://xemodex.com/us/central-electron ... -volvo-05/

Good luck !

Re: 08 3.2 - Stage 0 - AWD/Transmission Full Service

Lots of posts out there for these procedures, great that you're thinking about getting the car baselined, really a great mileage to do so on a 3.2 in my opinion. I use this thread- https://www.matthewsvolvosite.com/forums/viewtopic.php?f=10&t=64335 as a guide for replacing the gear and AOC/filte...

Re: Replace 2008 XC90 turn signal switch

Some folks "repair" the switch, can see https://forums.swedespeed.com/showthread.php?176889-Turn-signal-repair for one example. If you want it permanently fixed, buy a new one and replace outright. Part has some chassis breaks (last 6 of VIN) for applicability- PN 31268575 CH <133999, with...

Re: 2007 XC90 left rear turn signal works intermittently

XC90 Turn Signal_2007_Wiring.JPG Try fuse #2, see what that does. Wire color code for left turn signal is Green for 12V, Black for ground. Wire color for right turn signal is Green/White Stripe for 12V, Black for ground. If fronts signals are working, then your switch is working. EDIT- Had wrong is...

Re: 2007 XC90 left rear turn signal works intermittently

It's actually a good thing, now you know where to look. Driver side door has a known issue whereby the wires can get worn out and fray. That it's a driver side issue with driver side door position making a difference is perhaps indicative of a worn wire or partially mechanically compromised conducto...

Re: 2007 XC90 left rear turn signal works intermittently

Was thinking about this while you checked, the green/white wire is easy enough to resolve since it's the same conductor. It's the ground that's going to be a little more problematic. You could dump a bunch of solder in the area and hope for the best, but that spot is always going to be a flex point ...
