Have you replaced the voltage regulator with the correct one?

Late P2 electronics is mostly top-notch in terms of under/over voltage protection.

I just drilled the front ones out with 2-1/2" hole saw (it happens to be the perfect size). Need a good one, and a mighty drill. No need to drop or lower the subframe other than one corner at a time.

Read the codes with DiCE/VIDA, it will tell you what's wrong. A generic OBD scanner can't tell you the whole story.
