Any brand name 2DIN + SWC adapter. Take the camera power from the reverse lights.
I have a Kenwood DDX + DIY adapter (https://github.com/vtl/volvo-kenwood or lately https://github.com/vtl/volvo-ddd). You can solder a similar adapter or buy a ready to use.

Re: '03 s60 needs good engine shop
I had a head resurfaced at home as well. Was 0 mm W and 0.05 mm L in one spot only. Managed to have all zeroes. Finding a flat area of a 3/8" thick glass. You get the head as flat as the glass is. https://a.d-cd.net/uQAAAgG17-A-960.jpg Dykem steel blue (wasn't really needed) https://a.d-cd.net/...

Re: '03 s60 needs good engine shop
Great job. The best Lathes have the bed hand lapped/scraped to get that final accuracy. Better than the machine can do. Machine is just way faster and close enough for engine heads. Yes. Having good tools does help. However I went low this time, the biggest investment was a $50 glass shelf ;) I act...

No pressure! The head is heavy enough, you just need to push and pull it, as horizontally as you can. Because of a fine grit and wet sanding it took a few hundreds of passes, but in return it gives you a precise control of how much material is removed. I stopped when I had a couple of cavities reduc...

Re: 2002 Ocean Race for salvage

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Start the Teensy first, wait for "sending CEM into programming mode", then immediately power on the CEM. CEM on the bench needs to see the ff 86 message in the first 20 ms or so, otherwise it goes into standby mode.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
You need to talk only to CEM, on a fastest bus. Thus one CAN-bus is used. The in-car cracking would need to silence everything else, so there's another CAN controller, but it is optional and only used to hush the modules on the slow speed CAN.

Re: Vida CEM swapping
Nice! ;) Zener diode is for safety. As said elsewhere, I was rebuilding my blown engine. It is up and running now, but I need to pass a long overdue yearly inspection, for which the car should have no codes erased for last 100 or 200 miles (erasing codes zeroes emissions readiness). I'll try it in c...
