Re: Can i use SEAFOAM in my Oil/ or Ect??????

If you look at the oil filler cap you will see the black ring gasket that is supposed to help keep the oil inside the upper part of the engine. In your case, outside the ring, you can see oil. When the engine runs, oil splashes around at the top. As the gasket ages, it becomes less flexible and does...

Re: 01 v70 continuous charging power?

I have seen references to the 12v outlets coming from the CEM. If you want to provide unswitched (but fused) 12v, you can run the 12v from the battery down the center of the car, or under the panels by the doors and across. In car audio, similar such runs must be fused close to (within 12 inches of)...

Re: How do I remove the fuel rail from my 2006 S60 2.5T?

Thanks, Chris, I removed the fuel rail yesterday. I followed the video, except I left the wiring harness in place, but shifted it aside after releasing from the fuel injectors. And, I removed the fuel pressure sensor instead of disconnecting its electrical connector - more fuel came out the side int...

Re: 2004 S60 2.5TAWD spark plugs

1. You can take a picture of the wires and coil packs on your phone to aid in putting them back correctly (right after you remove the engine cover), or just do one at a time. 2. On avoiding cross-threading the plugs when installing them, I agree with RickHaleParker on twisting the extension without ...

Re: P2111 After O2 Sensor Replacement

There is more than enough gunk in there to account for the throttle plate to jam or stick. I am certain that you could clean it and I would expect the throttle body to work fine after that. Perhaps, after the O2 replacements, the system saw the oxygen level more accurately and had a greater need to ...

Re: 2007 V70 R

The gap from the top of the tire to the body is much smaller than from the tire to the body in front of the center of the tire. See MDK's picture on the first page of this thread. Your car is too low by a lot. I am surprised your Euro guys did not comment on this.

Re: V70R fuel return and pump

On these cars, the fuel pump is rarely the problem, most of the times we deal with the pump regulator module FPS and sometimes also with the FPS sensor. Should be: Pump Electronic regulator Module PEM Module was under car and exposed, so would rust. Volvo made new cars with it in the trunk, near th...

Re: Speaker replacement - Front Left [Volvo XC70 2006 134k miles]

Volvo does offer replacement speakers. Try Tasca, or volvo parts online in a Google search. You need to specify the car model and year, and also will need to determine which level of audio option was provided in your car as there are multiple speakers to choose from and you want to match the right s...

Re: 2001 Volvo S60 throttle problem

The MM ETM position sensor strips wear so that the engine computer is unable to determine the position of the throttle over parts of the sensor track. The computer then cuts power which matches your symptoms. New ETM is likely needed, or Xemodex can repair it. There are contact-less position sensor ...
