Re: 94 T5 - could my timing belt been off a tooth?
When I replaced my timing belt two years ago I did so very carefully, and yet after double-checking I found it was one tooth off, so I wasn't careful enough. I corrected it before starting the engine. The engine ran better than with the old belt, which I found slightly, slightly longer than the new ...

Re: Would it be possible to clear out a gummed up PCV instead of replacement?
Short answer is no, the labor required would be the same as replacing all of it anyway. I kept all my old stuff for months after replacing the PCV and associated plumbing thinking I would take a stab at cleaning it and decided that it was in no way feasible.

Re: S70 ran out of oil :(
98 s70 T5. Almost 280k miles. Lent to a friend. Only use synthetic oil. The car was 1000 miles away from an oil change when I got the call that something was wrong. No oil on the dip stick. Added 2 quarts- still nothing on the dip stick. Loud clicking after I filled to the max line on the dipstick....

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Hausmeister - those blue clips get fragile and crumble. Worth it to buy a few and replace the ones on that window. (This is assuming the rears are the same blue ones as the front windows, which I’ve replaced twice now.)

Re: Supplier for Plastic Interior Trim Parts?
Have you seen the link for I think it is V-parts? They are making 3D printed parts and repair sections. They were on here somewhere.

Re: Supplier for Plastic Interior Trim Parts?
Many parts are NLA.
I've had occasional luck with Genuine Classic Parts (in Sweden). https://www.gcp.se/en
Otherwise, it's been eBay, and/or JB Weld (for plastic).

Re: Supplier for Plastic Interior Trim Parts?
This irritated me quite a bit - the switchgear. I popped it all out a few years ago, cleaned it and I then clear-coated it and let it cure before popping back in. The clear-coat evens out the appearance of it and preserves the labels. Adds a harder protective coating so it doesn’t wear more. It real...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
Decided to tackle the numerous interior noises: first step, the cargo area. The cracked speaker trim has been reglued and i've given a go at 3d printing new clips to replace the broken ones that hold the upper trim https://i57.servimg.com/u/f57/16/41/73/43/2024-014.png At this price i can waste some...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
I was motivated by the BLO success, to go further. Also, the biggest “wagon” festival in the world is a few miles away in six or seven weeks. Might as well show up clean and pretty. LoL, wrote this up but it was dumped by the forum as normal. 1C630114-42DD-46BA-885B-DFA763BD9945.jpeg 6723DBFA-9D28-4...

Re: P80 1999 s70 NA Evita slight steering shimmy on bump
if it's the rear and that feels shimmy, it could always be the delta links or the other horrible bushings whose name thou shalt not even say or write.
