Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
No tools needed. Mom Grew up in a nasty part of Brooklyn And has extreme Urban survival skills. She was also one of two girls in Engineering at Brooklyn Poly in the 1970s. Each one of ours took a really good self defense course at a local University. When Our youngest and smallest took the final ( a...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Alright go girls! I'll be PMing you for parenting tips if I can start baking my own bun. I've already picked baby's first ratchet out of my toolbox. I figure my broken Matco 1/4" is just the right size for the little monster. I'll definitely find someone to weld on a socket though. Can't have ...

Re: Has anyone had good luck with the aux in stereo mod?
It won’t. It’s polyolefin and very Uv resistant and floats like polypropylene ( which has crappyUV life)
It’s great for anchor markers and lines that won’t foul your propellor, but it is soooo expensive we can’t afford it, unless I find some holding lobsters in a box , which I set free.

Re: Oil seal leaking?
You need the cam lock tool in place to get the VVT HUB LOCKING Torx to the correct torque, which is really high. How to position the three screws in the hub is a bit ambiguous in the 1999 VIDA instructions, as I found out in this thread. I did document how you can read cam flank angles to get it set...

Re: What did you do to your Volvo today?
The wall is the best place for waterfall grilles... S/V/C70s all need egg crates! But if we're talking 850s, I definitely prefer the waterfall to aftermarket egg crate grilles I've seen. What do you do with all the shells? I’ve heard they will also fowl your motor. There’s a magazine dedicated to c...

XC90 thermostat 31355151 options for 3.2l motor
Courtesy of pgill Miley, The Thermostat is very complicated. (don't buy an eBay part) I wouldn't trust anything except a Thermostat from Volvo or from Land Rover. The 3.2 is your XC90 was built at a FORD factory in the UK (Land Rover and Volvo were part of the Premier Automotive Group under FORD) Th...
