Make and break the connection a couple if times. Be careful lifting the reservoir, there are only 5 cm of slack in the electrical line before it breaks. The float part is inside the reservoir and I don't think it is serviceable

You will lose a bit, like 500 mL if you don't drain down. Cover the alternator, rinse off, top up when done with 50-50.
