Mark the axle bolt and keep an eye on it. Those are also single use bolts so they May loosen again on you
Be careful confirming the torque setting. My Alldata lists the very tight torque for the nut for my 1999, which isn’t right for the bolt, which is 50 Nm, i believe

Yep, that’s the diagnosis. That will make the rotor rust badly on one side and basically suck.

Take a compression test and then look at your spark plugs while doing that
Remember the turbo won’t spool up on just rpms, it has to be loaded.

You won’t have neither EGR nor air pump on a 2000 XC. You might have an air pump relay , though, just to drive you crazy looking for the air pump

A yellow label Volvo ETM was exactly the same as the original design. Most cars will use two in their lifetime, but the Xemodex one is half the price of the Volvo so I think most go that route I just reached 100k on my second ETM, the first one went 140k. I’m hoping to take this one to 300k with goo...
