Re: 2001 V70 HELP!! Sudden loss of all electrical

Pull the codes off the battery and you can date it from the interwebs.

These cars need a good battery and alternator or they will give you hell

Re: parking brake only holds going forward 98 V70 na Any

You need to adjust, apply brake hard, then adjust again. Most people leave them too loose. A little bit of friction is ok - the shoes need to bed to the radius of the 'drums' on the internal part of the rotor.

Set, block, and jack.

Set jackstands.

Put jack back under, touching, but not loaded.

Put the tires underneath

Have cell phone nearby if working alone.

Re: Cleaning DIY: 850 IAC (Idle Air control valve) cleaning

Quicken..your 10 valve Volvo wasn’t sold in the US so you won’t find a lot of info apply to that engine here. It does look like the 10 valve uses a different IAC though, and all our parts places do show it no longer available

Re: Squeal after brakes, axles, wheel bearing

Check the calipers after a 10 minute run to see if they are hot...douse a cup of water and listen for boiling. Compare to the other side.

If you drive on sticking calipers, you will ruin your new Pads!

Re: P2 Cars: Blower Motor Replacement (How To)

The verb to screw up the Internet is 'ajitpai' loosely translated from Sanskrit as

'Let's turn ISP into the cable company because that works well'

Re: 2008 S60 2.5T are these good?

All of my ladies had to graduate from the Bittenbinder 'Tough Target' school before mission real world launch. Well, all of them except Caitlin. That's because she is 6 foot and 180 pounds of lean defender muscle and can snap my back like a twig. It's a really really bad financial time to buy a new ...
