You get the cheap Volvo’s in the high rent districts, I’ve found. Grifters and flippers jack up the prices while money/ brain people sell the old reliable car for a pittance to someone who wants it cheap.
I know my T5 will go to someone who will cherish it rather than the top dollar

Re: 2003 Volvo S60 2.4T Throttle Body Issues.
My experience with throttle bodies is that once they begin to fault, you get 5000-10000 miles before they finally give up, and driving it with small pedal move to, like a Grandma , will help lengthen that. A new one isn’t too bad about $302, a junkyard one cheap but a bit riskier of course. If you g...

1999 T5V70M56 road incident report, misfiring [ bad #2 coil]
Preamble, mileage on car 239748 I thought I detected rough running for the last two week at startup and cold idle, but after 60 seconds idle was smooth, so I took no action. I did check #3 plug and found it at 0.032 with some tip wear, and meant to compare it to new, plugs have 24k on them, Volvo OE...

Re: 2000 V70 XC SE - Stalls When it Gets Warmed Up
Car runs fine for a bit then stalls out. Will restart after about 10 minutes then stalls again further down the road. Getting code P1133 O2 Sensor Heating Circuit Bank 1 + 2 - Sensor1 Electrical Malfunction. Had a similar issue about 6 months ago and replaced the fuel pump relay and it drove fine f...

Re: Rebuilt Calipers - Pins, What's the issue? 30648017
I saved the OEM pins when I replaced them and I used ATE brake grease that I think I found on sale at FCP one time. I've had so many freeze up over the years that I try to use the correct type and I don't put too much on, just enough. I thought the pins on the rebuilds just didn't look right - chea...

Re: Bosch Platinum 6730 Plugs for S60 2.5T
The critical thing is the thread per inch or mm per thread count - that has to be the same for the plugs and the head. If you can, you can put the threads into each other and see if they mesh - if they do, you are ok. Of course, if you have cross threaded the wrong pitch plug in, don't remove it unt...

Re: 2000 V70 SE stalling P1670, P1615
The electrical part the ignition switch lasts about 130k on these cars. You might’ve due for your third one,
How a car “ quits” is a lousy diagnostic, a fuel delivery problem will make the eng8ne stall and flash all the dash lights, pop a misfirecode ( maybe), etc.

Re: Volvo P2 used market
We are still in the Golden Era of the P80, despite Matts churlish attempt to elevate the P2 over the P80 the post count and viewership still make P80 the Volvo King (I made that up from the number of viewers 5 minutes ago) This forum brought me from dumping my T5 to now getting another 100k out of f...
