Re: 2000 V70 SE - Is there a Cargo cover?

The cargo cover crusade continues. The template is like the holy grail.

No wonder they call it a template, like the knights Templar.

Re: 2001 XC70 Power steering pump o-ring

Thanks vti. I realized it was a weekday (i'm off work this week) so e down to Gengras Volvo and got the OEM ring. I measure the id to 0.307 a 302 pin is loose and a 5/16 pin is just a tad over. The width is 0.072 so the size they gave me is a -011. (5/16 ID by 7/16 OD 1/16 Wide) That size is include...

96 850 Voltage regulator 9162683 1 197 311 520

I want to replace a dead voltage regulator. At the vendor web sites, there are two Bosch regulators recommended for the 100A alternator from the 850, and one regulator is much, much cheaper than the other. You can see them both here, the other web sites sell one or the other or both of them as well:...

DIY: Build your own positive battery cable 9456836 for the 850

This is a quick write up to show how I built a new positive battery cable for my ‘97 855 GLT (~172k miles). I decided to do this after the original cable failed after about 15 years and then the aftermarket replacement failed after about 2 years. I had to replace the original battery cable 2 years a...

Re: 1999 S70 Damper motors won't calibrate

I realize I never followed up. The air distribution damper had failed...and since it's the first one to go through calibration, the system never got past it to calibrate. Once I'd replaced it, turned the key, the system calibrated and the flashing A/C light turned off.

DIY 2005 XC90 Driver Seat Belt Buckle

My Driver Seat Belt Buckle needs to be replaced.

I saw some info on XC70:
http://www.volvoxc.com/forums/showthrea ... at-removal

Can someone confirm for me if:
- The procedure for XC90 is the same as XC70.
- Any special precaution to prevent the SRS dash light from turning on?

Re: 2003 Volvo XC70 PS Inner CV joint leak

Not sure what the etiquette is on reviving my own thread from 2014 but I thought it relevant. After running on a rebuild axle since 2014 and having small vibrations when turning, I've now swapped back to the one I rebuild, no vibrations! I replaced it in under an hour by removing the two shock absor...
