Re: MVS in St Lous …Abscate joins the xc90 Club!

Truly looks beautiful in that color. Really gets me all choked up, the boy is growing up!   That is not a common color up here. It is generally black only on 2011-14 XC90's and I don't like black cars. Spend more time cleaning them as they always look dirty up here. Meant lots of c...

Re: Need #9176272 shifter cables, 1998 V70 manual, for senior w/ cancer

abscate wrote: 10 Feb 2025, 04:02 You can drive a Volvo with only 1-3-5 for quite a long time. Run up first a bit before 3, which you can use up to 50 mph

A bit easier in an LPT, than a HPT or NA , as the torque comes early on an LPT
It would indeed be easier in an LPT, but they were unfortunately not available with a stick :(

21/21.5mm Front Sway Bars available again (9173983 9173471)

Hello everyone, my V70 I had deteriorated sway bar bushings and since you're supposed to change the whole sway bar in that case, this was an issue, as the sway bar is NLA from Volvo and there are no third party suppliers. Therefore I worked with Skandix to have new ones made by a reputable suspensio...

Re: 21/21.5mm Front Sway Bars available again (9173983 9173471)

Thanks again for doing this for the Volvo community! Thanks to Skandix too for their efforts. It will be interesting to see how this works out. I recall my brother having an 850 many years ago where the bush separated from the steel. At that point Volvo offered a replacement bush and clamp, but it d...

Re: A $100 '99 V70 GLT

Love that billet plywood head.

Note: on the wiring loom. Mine is in decent shape, but every time I look at a P2 at the auction it's barely there.

Glovebox kickpanel fix repair - DIY ABS plastic parts (not brakes) - S70/V70

For those of you wanting to repair ABS parts here is an easy cheap way to do it. I am always researching things like this, trying to learn new ideas and techniques. I did some research on ABS. I have a 99 S70 GLT and several ABX parts have been cracked or broken altogether. I would not recommend thi...
