Re: Acceptable Amount of Lateral Rod Bearing play
I'll hold off on relaxing until after I've pulled the motor & replaced the flywheel/flexplate (see HERE , oh lucky me). But for now, the engine runs good, no leaks put maybe 60 miles on this evening. Oil PSI is good again, will pull this temporary "flush" oil & SeaFoam out shortly ...

Re: E Showell's new V70 R Sonic Blue OMG
I need to get a straight story on the fluid though. Owner's manual says JWS3309 but web says the 6 speed autobox needs "AW-1" fluid, which is pretty hard to find. Jimmy57 any thoughts there? Valvoline Maxlife ATF Dex/Merc, Mercon LV is what I use. It lists 4 volvo equivalencies. It lists ...

2001 T5 DSTC BCM ABS Volvo part 8634413
Just removed my 2001 T5 DSTC brake controller (ABS unit) and photographed the connector solder joints and the solder joints leading to the ABS pump. They definitely need a touch-up. I'm having DSTC Service Required, ABS brake failure and Brake System Failure especially on warmer days after the engin...

'04 V70 "Try slow down - shift up " message
Just bought a "new to me" '04 V70 110K miles. Driving it home, when I got to operating speed the message above appeared. It went into limp home and would barely exceed 20 mph. I went to post the problem, and the first thing that came up was a post of my own concerning my previous V70, abou...

Re: The official "Ive driven to Moon" Thread for P80..and P2 (221,773 miles) .and anyone else.
I have a 1995 850 10 valve sedan with 670,000 km which I believe is around 415,000 miles. Despite my maintenance, I just can't kill the car. I am heading home now so maybe I should put it in to ultra-glide...Chris
