Re: Air Recirculation Not Working
'94 Volvo started making a clicking noise when that arm and servo broke. I pulled glove box and attached string to recirc flap. Installed glove box, fed string around/over it. Left it hanging inside box. Pull on it when I want recirc flap open or closed! Now I will sit back and wait for a ACA commen...

Re: 1999 V70 XC AWD starter replacement
I also had some trouble with this. Even when trying to remove the fan only, separate from its shroud, the turbo pipe was too much in the way. But I found that with the fan detached from the shroud, the shroud could easily be lifted out of the car leaving plenty of space to remove the fan afterwards ...

Re: Transmission codes
Doesn't matter as long as it's correct for your car.

Re: 1999 V70XC Fuel Pressure Regulator Return Line Pinch Point
The fpr was sold as part of the fuel line. I don't think it was sold as a separate part, but up may be wrong on that. It was not sold by itself 6-7 years ago when I bought new fuel lines. Naturally the fuel lines are now also NLA.

Re: 850 Rear Brake Repair - AGAIN - Tips
My caliper rust problem has been solved as my 6th car in my fleet becomes the latest to ride the FreeCP train of free replacement parts. The Centric calipers seem to be lasting 5 years plus on my P80s, but once they seize they get a trip to Milford for new ones. I keep a new set on my shelves so I ...

Re: What did you do to your P2 Volvo today?
Replaced both strut assemblies on my XC today with FCS quick struts for $250 CAD all-in. Manufactured in Detroit using Chinese components. Lifetime warranty, and honestly one of the easier jobs I’ve ever done on this vehicle. So low risk for me. Rattle is now gone. Nothing was salvageable on the old...

Re: Replace the rear glass of a V70 WAGON 1998
Can anyone describe a good method for removing the trunk side window in a V70 wagon? Also, what's a good way to remove the painted trim piece and reinstall it on new glass? I'd like to pull a used one from a junkyard so I'll only have basic hand tools, working outside. My window was shattered when t...

Re: Stalls while driving
Yep, abscate was 100% correct. The IPD silicone turbo inlet hose that I installed over a year ago had come loose at the turbo. Well, that would also explain the rough idle I was getting for the first 2-3 minutes after a cold start. I suspect it would also explain the odd sound I was hearing when the...
